Skill-set has become the most essential feature for any employee in order to seek a productive out-put in a given work environment. Looking at the growing need of skills, empowerment program for youth in rural and urban has been setup, National Skill Mission, and is headed by Hon’able Prime Minister, Sri. Narendra Modi. India is young and 65 percent of the population is dominated by young-adults and there is huge demand for skilled workmen in order to achieve the desired output at various government, private and NGOs levels. Indian rural population does cover youth in the majority and well-skilled individuals can couple to the economic development of the nation.

After 68 years of independence, the Ministry of Skills Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) has been formed and is meant to focus on enhancing the employability of Youth on partnering private sector. The mission has successfully completed about 1.04 crore youth who were trained for skill enhancement at work environment. The Government has set up a skills empowerment programs, addition to the skills ecosystem, ITI ecosystem has been established for the betterment of vocational education and training skillsets. As a part of the Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR, Para Association for Rural Development, PARD, performs activities in the rural environment in order to enhance the skill sets of the rural poor youth.
